The USL is NOT a "learn-to-play" league! You are expected to have good, basic skating skills and some experience playing organized hockey. This stipulation exists as a logical corollary to the Code of Sportsmanship, because new/weak skaters are a hazard to themselves and other players. This site was created for use by the Ultra-Lite Senior League members to facilitate communication across the league and solicit input from members for the ongoing improvement of the league. It is not affiliated with Mt. Lebanon, PA in any way.

It is a thinking-players league where the proper attitude is an absolute imperative and where speed, aggressive play and contact of any sort must take second place to the safety and well-being of every skater on the ice. For many players, this takes a keen level of awareness to think and control one's actions beyond the hockey reflexes that may have been learned over many years in more traditional leagues.
